Claiming Beauty

Claiming Beauty is closed. After three years of ups, downs and sideways, the workload of running a roleplay sim took its toll. Much as we love the sim, and, more importantly, the people, it had got to the point where SL was unfortunately more work than pleasure. After a period of denial and trying to convince ourselves it was "one of those SL slumps" we came to admit the truth. This has not been an easy decision, and even now it has a bitter aftertaste.

Perhaps if this or that had happened, perhaps if so-and-so were done differently we would not be where we are now, but I have no intention of cheapening the experience with regrets or incriminations, the likelihood is things would have gone exactly as they did in any case.

My only regret is the thought of losing touch with you wonderful people who brought Claiming Beauty to life, and helped us make our dream possible. I sincerely hope to see you all in an environment where the onus of keeping a sim running is on some other poor sucker and we can fully enjoy your sparkling company.

Thank you all for making Claiming Beauty the BEST damned roleplay sim on Second Life, we had a blast, and even at the end, I would not have missed this experience for the world.
